About Me

My name is Syed Asif Naqvi, and my journey is rooted in a deep commitment to public service, youth empowerment, and social change. I come from Sukkur, Sindh, Pakistan, where I grew up witnessing both the immense potential of young people and the structural challenges that often limit their potential and opportunities. These experiences shaped my belief that empowering youth through knowledge, leadership, and civic engagement is one of the most powerful ways to transform societies.

I am a lawyer by profession, graduated form Pakistan’s first-ever Law University SZABUL Karachi, I am trained to understand justice, governance, and the rule of law. My legal education strengthened my commitment to defending democratic values, advocating for citizens’ rights, and promoting accountable governance. Alongside my legal career, I have remained actively engaged in public service and politics, working as a young politician and local government representative.

I currently serve as the youngest elected City Council Member at Sukkur Municipal Corporation, where I work closely with communities to address local issues, improve governance, and ensure that citizens especially young people have a voice in decision-making processes. My work in local governance has given me practical insight into how policies affect people at the grassroots level and how community participation can drive meaningful change.

My journey into activism began during my student years, when I became involved in student movements and youth advocacy initiatives. As a student activist, I worked to mobilize young people around issues such as democratic participation, education, and social justice. I founded the Student Rights March Platform and organized the first-ever Student March in my hometown Sukkur for the restoration of Student Unions in Pakistan. This early exposure to activism shaped my leadership approach and strengthened my commitment to youth-led change.

Over the years, I have also been involved in community development and peacebuilding initiatives, working with civil society organizations, youth networks, and community leaders to promote dialogue, social cohesion, and inclusive participation. I am part of organizing team of Minority Rights March Karachi and have organized the Peace and Intefaith Dailogues at district and provincial level. I strongly believe that sustainable peace and development can only be achieved when young people are empowered to become active agents of change within their communities.

My work bridges law, politics, governance, and community development, and I am passionate about mentoring the next generation of leaders. Through mentorship, I aim to guide young people in understanding public service, building leadership skills, navigating civic spaces, and developing the confidence to pursue meaningful careers that contribute to society.

As a mentor, my goal is not only to share knowledge but also to support, encourage, and empower young people to discover their own leadership potential and make a positive impact in their communities.
