About Me
Hailing from a remote village of Bulleh Shah’s land in Kasur, I grew up in a context where limited access to educational and psychosocial support shapes the lives of many children and young people. Growing up in such settings, I personally experienced the academic and emotional challenges that many children continue to face today. My journey changed at university, where I found a mentor, whose guidance transformed not only my own life but also influenced my family’s understanding of education and well-being.
This experience shaped my commitment to inclusive, community-based work. I am deeply interested in working with children and young people from marginalized communities, particularly those who experience emotional distress, social exclusion, learning difficulties, or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). I believe that meaningful support must be culturally responsive, relationship-driven, and rooted within the community.
I am the co-founder of Aman Chaupal, a community initiative in my home village that provides a safe and supportive space for children and young people. Through mentoring and educational support, the initiative aims to respond to academic, psychological, and social needs. Alongside this work, I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Special Education (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) at Brunel University of London.
As a mentor, I aim to provide consistent guidance, academic support, and emotional encouragement to children and young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
