Who We Are

Journey Behind Next Qadam

Over the years, HIVE Pakistan’s work with underserved communities on local issues has revealed an important lesson: there is a dire need for mentorship—not only for underprivileged youth, but for privileged youth as well. With this realization, HIVE Pakistan initiated Next Qadam—a cause-based effort for marginalized, underserved, and underprivileged youth in Pakistan, between the ages of 14 to 35. Next Qadam was not conceived overnight; it is the outcome of years of learning, shaped by the struggles we have witnessed and designed as a response to the major challenges faced by young people in Pakistan Despite socio-economic challenges, many young people manage to get basic education. However, the quality of education in Pakistan remains deeply compromised. As a result, students—even after graduation or completing their master’s studies—are left with very limited access to the right opportunities. They remain under-counselled, less guided, and often find themselves lost, with no clear path forward, no guidance, and no mentorship. Next Qadam is a pioneering mentorship platform designed to empower marginalized youth across Pakistan. By connecting young people with experienced professionals and peers, we aim to bridge opportunity gaps, facilitate access, nurture talent, and unlock potential. Next Qadam aims to provide marginalized youth in Pakistan with structured mentorship that fosters personal growth, academic success, and career development through meaningful connections with experienced professionals. We want a Pakistan where every young person—regardless of background—has access to mentorship, networks, and guidance, enabling them to thrive and contribute as empowered, confident, and active citizens
